Hard to believe. 5 years ago, we sold our first jar of sauce. What an amazing 5 years – we couldn’t have done this without John Jd Duncan, our friends and family, and another big thank you to South End Market at Atherton and Lynn Shanklin Caldwell (then Atherton Market) for letting us set up, outside, to see if we could make of go of it.
We have added 4 additional sauces, finally moved into our own kitchen (again – we could NOT have done this without JD and the kitchen at Bonterra Dining & Wine Room), added about 140 + stores in 6 states, a wonderful distributor (thanks P10 / King of Pops Charlotte) and 2 farmers markets (Every Saturday at Matthews Community Farmers’ Market & Davidson Farmer’s Market). We make sauce 6 days/week, my hair always smells like Marinara, I literally found a piece of tomato in my ear earlier today, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Here’s to another 5 years and many more!
with Andy Tritten keepin’ it saucy!
Thanks for sharing this post Rachelle Pacholski! Made our day!
Here is a picture on our first day at Atherton Farmers Market!!
I almost didn’t make it this morning! I got rear-ended on 77 and had to have sauce picked out of my hair right before the cameras were rolling (sauce went flying in the car!) but I still made it! I hope you all liked that recipe for chicken cacciatore … it’s going to be a perfect dish for a night like tonight. You only need three ingredients! Here is the recipe…
I had so much fun! Check it out if you missed it – I made Beef Braciole
